Enjoy the evening on the water as we kayak around Shawnee Mission Park Lake. Hear the croaks and splash of frogs, the hooting of owls, and view the park from a different perspective. Space is limited. Registration required. Kayaks and life jackets provided. Beginner Excursion starts with a safety briefing and instruction. Basic swimming skills required. Meet at Shawnee Mission Park Marina boat ramp. Dress for the weather. For more information 913-826-2800. Advanced registration required. Instructor: Park Police 1 - 2 hr. session - $27 / $30 nonresidents SMP Lake Beginner 9/30 Sat 6:30 pm Nature & Outdoors Refund Policy: Full refunds will be granted provided notification of cancellation is received five full business days prior to the start of class. No refunds will be issued after that time.
