    (Ages 8 & Older; children must be accompanied by Parent/Guardian or one adult chaperone per group of 5) Celebrate the Monarch butterfly’s amazing annual migration. Join us in the Citizen science program of capturing, tagging, and releasing of the Monarch as they journey to Mexico. Learn about these amazing insects and other native butterflies. Wear long pants to protect your legs as you run through the prairie and closed toed shoes to protect your feet. Due to a limited amount of insect nets, you are welcome to bring your own. For more information call 913-826-2800. Advance registration required. Program fee is nonrefundable. Registration for this event closes on Sept. 11. Participants will receive two tags to take home or use onsite. 1 – 1.5 hr. event - $8 / $9 nonresidents; including adults. Paid in advance. $10 per person onsite day of event, if space available Everyone attending, including adults must register and pay.
