  1. Little Critter’s Day Out: Bug Hunt (Age 3-5)

    May 6, 2021, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Ernie Miller Nature Center

    Child must be fully potty trained to participate in this program. Your Little Critter will enjoy 3 hours of fun and education! Activities will vary by theme, but we will have a snack, make a craft, play games, and see an animal visitor each day. Children must be potty trained. Preregistration is required. Registration fee is nonrefundable. Sign up for just the Thursdays you want or for all of them! A monthly bundle is offered at a discount for registering for all four available Thursdays in January, February, or April. You must register for all four dates in the same month at the same time to receive the discount.   2. Hiking: Walk with a Naturalist (Ages 18 & Older)

    Moderate Difficulty Take a hike…. with a naturalist. Let’s meet at the Nature Center and hike to through the park. Join us for themed hikes as we explore the landscape for hidden gems in the park. Hikes will be easy(E) to moderate(M) in difficulty dependent on the theme. Dress for the weather and muddy conditions on the trail. For more information call (913) 826-2800. Advanced registration required. No walk-in admission. 1 – 1 ½ hr. sessions - $7 resident/ $8 non-resident Down by the Bank (May 6): Moderate difficulty - Let’s get our nets in the creek and catch some critters to investigate.
