    Explore rhythm, tempo, and basic timing in this class for the young and imaginative! Your child will have the opportunity to use the universal language of music to increase social skills, dive into creativity, and even gain some basic math insight through dance and music. This is an introductory class that uses simple actions and dance movements with a focus on child-friendly music.

  1. Shawnee Mission Radio Control Club’s Float Fly

    The public is invited to come watch as radio-controlled aircraft take off and land on the water at Shawnee Mission Park Lake when the Shawnee Mission Remote Control Club (SMRCC) conducts its 5th Annual Float Fly. This event, which is free for spectators to attend, will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. near Shelter #6 on the northwest side of the lake near the dam.
