  1. Day Trip: River Cruising in Brownville

    Travel to Brownville, Nebraska and enjoy lunch as you cruise on the Missouri river. Explore the Meriwether Lewis dredge launched in 1931 by the U.S,. Army Corps of Engineers. It is one of the few surviving dredges that was built to help control flooding and improve the navigation along the river. Spend the afternoon touring the beautiful Carson House, many of its furnishings are original. See the Wheel museum and the 1854 Didier Log Cabin as well.

Ernie Miller Park & Nature Center

  1. Climbing and Rappelling Camp (Ages 12 - 15)

    June 17, 2019, 9:00 AM - June 20, 2019, 4:00 PM @ Ernie Miller Nature Center

    Experience the 40 ft. tower climbing up and rappelling down. Learn how to tie knots, belay, and team belay. This instructional camp will focus on learning the skills needed for climbing and rappelling. We will swim and canoe in the afternoons. Each participant will need a health and liability form signed by a parent or guardian to participate. Campers must be 12 years old by the first day of camp due to the high-risk nature of this camp. Participants will meet at Ernie Miller Nature Center. For more information call Outdoor Adventure Specialist Lysa Holladay Dvorak at (913) 856-8849.
