  1. Fall Group Hayrides - Oak Ridge Parklands @ SMP

    September 15, 2018, 2:30 PM @ Oak Ridge Parklands at Shawnee Mission Park

    Times: Monday - Thursday: 4 pm or 6 pm; Fridays: 4 pm, 6 pm, 7:30 pm, and 9 pm; Saturdays: 2:30 pm, 4 pm, 5:30 pm, 7 pm, and 8:30 pm; Sundays: 2:30 pm, 4 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7 pm

    Enjoy the outdoors by scheduling your group for a hayride through Oak Ridge Parklands in Shawnee Mission Park. Our hayrides conclude with a warm campfire where marshmallows and apple cider await. The one-hour hayride and one-hour campfire are just $7 per person, and groups will need to reach an $80 minimum for their ride. Hayrides are available at Shawnee Mission Park seven days a week Call (913) 831-3359 to reserve a date and time for your group. Two weeks advance registration is required.

  3. Overnight Fishing

    September 15, 2018, 11:00 PM - September 16, 2018, 5:00 AM @ Lexington Lake Park

    Grab your fishing pole and lantern for an overnight fishing opportunity at JCPRD’s one of newest parks! The park will be open for fishing only and park police officers will be on duty throughout the night. Before fishing, area anglers ages 16-74 will need to have a valid Kansas fishing license, a Johnson County Park & Recreation District fishing permit, and all appropriate boat tags, if applicable. For more information about the overnight fishing program, call (913) 888-4713.
