Join a park naturalist for animal stories and surprises geared for preschool age children. Two JCPRD locations to choose from – join us Ernie Miller Nature Center in Olathe or the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in Overland Park! Come listen and learn. Meet a special animal friend every time. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Music, movement and imagination!!! Join the nature center staff as we act out stories with animal and yoga moves. These parent and child experiences are designed to encourage creativity, coordination and enhance awareness of the natural world. All children must be accompanied by a participating adult. See a live animal every time.

Interact with museum staff as you learn why we collect, how we collect, and the importance to our local community. Our collection features over 17,000 3D objects and over one million images. The Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center holds the museum’s two-dimensional collection, including manuscripts, maps, photographs, and quilts.
