50 Plus Cards and Games

  1. Games: Pineapple Bingo

    BINGO! Delight in food, prizes, fun and 12 games of bingo. Variety of prizes awarded including gift certificates. Please pre-register at least one week in advance. Payment is required at time of registration. For the enjoyment of all participants, children are not permitted to attend 50 Plus Bingos, with the exception of Ice Cream Sundae bingo (7/25/19) at Roeland Park Community Center. Cost of admission covers snacks and staff time to administer the Bingo Program. No additional charge for Bingo.

  1. Day Trip: Zoo Keeper's Exploration

    Spend the morning on a private guided Zoo tour at the Kansas City Zoo. Learn about the animals in the tropics and have the chance to pet the stingrays. After a catered lunch from Cupini’s. Spend the afternoon exploring the zoo in comfort. With the platinum wrist band enjoy access to all the Zoo transportation. Consider taking the tram to Africa or the train to Australia. Fly over the African animals and see them without all the walking. Enjoy a boat ride and maybe see the hippos and baby giraffes or attend a Zoo animal feedings and shows. Transportation will be in district vehicles.

Ernie Miller Park & Nature Center

  1. Photography Camp (Ages 12 - 15)

    Do you love to take pictures and want to learn more about photography? Learn about nature photography with us and meet new friends. Camp includes classroom-style instruction on camera basics and practical tips for nature photography. Field trips include: TimberRidge Adventure Center, Overland Park Arboretum, and the Kansas City Zoo. Camp concludes with a photo exhibit; parents are invited to attend and view the best of campers’ photos on display at Ernie Miller Nature Center. Participants must bring their own digital cameras for use during all activities. Other activities during camp may include boating, swimming, and nature hikes. Participants will meet at Ernie Miller Nature Center. For more information call (913) 856-8849. For Nature and Science Camp Refund Policy see Time Details. There is no before and after care provided for this camp. Enrollment is limited to 20 campers.
