    Unplug and have fun together as a family! We’ve added twists and special treats to make the game more active and silly. Dinner included. This fun family event is $9 per person ($11 nonresidents), $28 for a family of four or less ($31 nonresidents), $38 for a family up to 7 ($42 nonresidents.) Cost of admission covers food (or snacks) and staff time to administer the bingo program. No additional charge for bingo.

    Celebrate the Magic of Nature as we discover the hidden world of the wee folk and friends, real and make believe. Let your imagination go wild designing a fairy house and wand with the Green Fairy’s repurposing supplies. Enjoy a sweet treat at the Tea Party. The Fairy Queen will tell stories of magic and mischief. Watch the Fairy Parade with live animals! Music and a trip through the Wish Tree make for an enchanted day to remember. Park visitors can visit activity stations at their leisure. This magical event is $6 per person, including adults ($8 nonresidents.) Advanced reservations required. Fee is non-refundable. For more information call (913) 764-7759. In case of inclement weather, program will be held indoors.

    Grab your fishing pole and lantern for an overnight fishing opportunity! The park will be open for fishing only and park police officers will be on duty throughout the night. Before fishing, area anglers ages 16-74 will need to have a valid Kansas fishing license, a Johnson County Park & Recreation District fishing permit, and all appropriate boat tags, if applicable.     Looking for some unplugged time with your kids? Come enjoy an overnight experience together in the great outdoors! Event will begin with tent set-up and dinner, followed by a sunset hike and campfire. Programmed activities end at 9 pm. Group breakfast will be available at 7 and event ends by 8:30 am. Don’t have a tent, but want to come? Rent one from us for just $15. Limited supply. You will need to bring bedding and other supplies. This is a great way to try camping without purchasing all the equipment. For more information call Outdoor Adventure Specialist Lysa Holladay (913) 856-8849. No pets allowed for this event. To rent a tent call Cindy at Ernie Miller Nature Center, (913) 826-2800. This event is $18 per person, $20 nonresidents.
