March 2, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Virtual Program
Curator at K-State’s Historic Costume & Textile Museum, Marla Day, will explore how we can use our past to improve our present through thrifting. When you look around your home, what could you repurpose and restyle to meet a need? ‘Making something from nothing’ is a saying that can spark ingenuity. The exhibition Thrift Style explores the reuse of a simple piece of leftover fabric and how homemakers used what was available to them to meet the needs of their families. A message that resonates with consumers during our current economic climate. Corresponds to museum’s “Thrift Style” exhibit, from NEH on the Road.
This virtual program is offered free of charge! Pre-registration is required, meeting link will be sent with your registration receipt.
