January 21, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Virtual Program
In honor of the Presidential Inauguration, we are taking out Retro Housewife's Guide to the White House! Miss Yvonne will welcome Tammy Williams, long-time archivist at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum, to delve into the history of being the First Lady of the United States. What does it take to be successful at a job you never signed up for? What can modern hostesses learn from Bess Truman and other first ladies?
The Retro Housewife’s Guide is a virtual program series that takes you inside the Johnson County Museum’s 1950’s All-Electric House like you’ve never seen it before. During these live tutorials, you will learn the ins and outs of 1950s fashion, décor, etiquette, and more.
This program is offered free of charge! Pre-registration is required, meeting link will be sent with your registration receipt.
