Sunflower Nature Park
Sunflower Nature Park is a 57-acre JCPRD park just south of K-10 Highway near Edgerton Road at 36915 W 103rd Street in De Soto, Kansas.  The park features a paved one-mile loop trail, a small pond, picnic shelter, two parking lots, restroom, and two ball fields adjacent to the nature area.

Park Shelter

The nature park has one shelter to accommodate gathering of various sizes. To ensure the use of a shelter, reservations are recommended. For individual shelter details view the Subfacilities section below.

To check availability or to reserve a shelter, call (913) 831-3359, Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. or visit our Registration Office
in Antioch Park.


Pond

The pond is a wonderful spot for bird watching, aquatic viewing, and fishing. The pond is populated with fish and various aquatic wildlife. JCPRD fishing permits and state fishing licenses (per state regulations) are required before fishing.
