Is there a fee to enter the parks?: There are no fees to enter JCPRD parks, however some activities, such as fishing, boating and archery require a paid permit. Also, some amenities, such as the beaches and boat rentals, have a fee associated with their use.

1. What facilities are available to reserve?: Access the reservations and rentals resource to see a listing of facilities eligible for reservation.

2. Where can I buy JCPRD fishing permits?: JCPRD fishing permits are available at Visitor Services in the Administration building in Shawnee Mission Park or the Registration Office at Antioch Park. In addition, they are available at Bass Pro Shop, Scheel's and Johnson County Wal-Mart stores in the Sporting Goods Department. Visit the Annual and General Permits page for more information.

4. What are the aquatic facilities in the Johnson County Parks & Recreation District?

5. Do children need a license or permit to fish?: Children under the age of 16 are not required to have a state fishing license or a JCPRD permit to fish. The only exception to this would be if they are fishing for trout. In that case, they are required to have a JCPRD trout permit.
