JCPRD presents in-person Songwriting Circle for adults beginning Feb. 6

Ever want to write your own songs? A new four-session workshop for adults being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District beginning in early February can help. Physical distancing and COVID-19 safe practices will be encouraged during this program.

Songwriting Circle is the name of this program, which is for ages 16 and older. Guided by professional musician and artist Jen Appell, participants will learn to properly structure a song, songwriting techniques, and what it takes to take songwriting to the next level. All skill sets and instruments are welcome!

Songwriting Circle will meet at 11 a.m. Saturdays beginning Feb. 6 at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. The cost for four 90-minute sessions $60 per person for Johnson County residents or $66 for nonresidents. To register by phone, call (913) 831-3359.
