A program for enthusiastic and new writers who want to learn the craft of playwriting is being offered beginning in late January by the Fine & Performing Arts Department of the Johnson County Park and Recreation District. Physical distancing and COVID-19 safe practices will be encouraged during this program.
The class is called Intro to Playwriting and is for ages 10 to 16. Students will explore fundamentals of playwriting and story structure by reading published plays, 10 minute plays, and creative writing exercises to stretch their playwright muscles. This course will culminate in a showcase for friends and family.
