  3. Little Critter’s Day Out: Who Sings in Spring? (Age 3-5)

    Child must be fully potty trained to participate in this program. Your Little Critter will enjoy 3 hours of fun and education! Activities will vary by theme, but we will have a snack, make a craft, play games, and see an animal visitor each day. Children must be potty trained. Preregistration is required. Registration fee is nonrefundable. Sign up for just the Thursdays you want or for all of them! A monthly bundle is offered at a discount for registering for all four available Thursdays in January, February, or April. You must register for all four dates in the same month at the same time to receive the discount. For more information call Park Naturalist Diana Bliss at (913) 826-2807. 1 – 3 hr. class - $19 / $21 nonresidents 4 – 3 hr. classes (Jan., Feb., April only) - $65 / $73 nonresident

    Get ready to groove in nature. Join us for an outdoor World Groove session. Dress for the weather. World Groove is a super simple way to move and dance using many styles of music. It is playful and fun for all fitness levels. No experience necessary, no fancy steps, no special equipment needed, come as you are! Yoga mat, blanket, or towel recommended.   8. Spring Break Adventures Camp - Olathe School District (Ages 11-13)

    March 15, 2021 - March 19, 2021 @ Ernie Miller Nature Center

    Come explore wild areas, find long forgotten trails, and learn the secrets of survival. We will go canoeing, fishing, participate in team building and zip line at the challenge course at TimberRidge Adventure Center. Participants will need to bring a backpack with a nutritious sack lunch, water bottle, and comfortable all-weather clothing. The last day of camp we will have a cook out. Spring Break Adventures Camp will meet every morning at the Ernie Miller Nature Center. Programmed activities will begin at 9 am and conclude at 4 pm. For the convenience of working parents, supervision will be provided from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Activities may vary due to weather conditions. Parents will receive a letter describing camp activities, a supply list, and a medical form which must be completed and returned one week prior to camp. Enrollment is limited to 13 campers. Parents will receive a letter describing camp activities, a supply list, and a medical form which must be completed and returned one week prior to camp. Enrollment is limited to 20 campers.     Visit the habitats of Ernie Miller Park as the sun sets and the animals of the night explore the darkness on a guided hike. See live animals and biofacts up close indoors before our trek outside through the park. Bring a flashlight or lantern and dare yourself to turn off the light for a portion of our walk. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Waterproof shoes are recommended for rain or mud. Advanced Registration Required.
