  1. Open Water Swim Practice - Shawnee Mission Park

    June 26, 2018, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Shawnee Mission Park Beach

    The beach will be open for open water swimming practice. There will be lifeguard staff on site and a course of 200 meters will be monitored. Participants in the JCPRD triathlons are highly encouraged to attend these open water swim practices as it is preferred that you have practiced a lake swim prior to race day. There will NOT be coaching staff on hand during these practice times.

  2. Open Water Swim with Endurance House at Smithville Lake

    June 27, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Little Platte Park - Smithville Lake Smithville, Missouri

    Endurance House Kansas City will once again be sponsoring open water swims on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm. Check in from 6:00 pm-6:15 pm (please do not arrive before or after these times). We will enter the water as a group at 6:15pm. We will have kayaks for support until 7:30 pm. Drop in fee is $5 (separate from the park entry fee). 18 years of age and older only. SWIM CAPS OR SWIM BUOYS WILL BE REQUIRED!!!

  3. Open Water Swim Practice - Kill Creek Park

    June 28, 2018, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Kill Creek Park Beach & Marina

    The beach will be open for open water swimming practice. There will be lifeguard staff on site and a course of 200 meters will be monitored. Participants in the JCPRD triathlons are highly encouraged to attend these open water swim practices as it is preferred that you have practiced a lake swim prior to race day. There will NOT be coaching staff on hand during these practice times.

  4. Transition 101 & Open Water Swim Clinic

    June 28, 2018, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Kill Creek Park

    Join us for a Transition 101 clinic as well as open water swim practice presenting by the JCPRD Women's Triathlon & Duathlon and the WIN for KC Women's Triathlon & Duathlon. Please bring your bike and transition gear as we will have a short talk (30 minutes) about best practices for transition set up. Optional ride after the group swim as well. Coaches will be on site to help with open water swim technique as well as offering tips and training advice for your open water swim.
