The next issue of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District’s
My JCPRD Activities catalog
is now online at www.JCPRD.com and available in print. Registration for classes in the September through December catalog began at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 30. The free publication covers JCPRD programs and events offered between September and December.
The 60-page publication lists more than 500 programs offered by the district through the end of 2018, including fall and early winter special events such as: the final Overnight Fishing Saturday of 2018, Park Palooza, Fall Hayrides, the Flight of the Monarch event, Whimsical Woods, Haunted Kansas, the Trick-or-Cache geocaching event, the Mildale Farm Fall Fest, a new Interactive 1850s Kansas Town Hall Meeting at the Johnson County Museum, Fall Trout Stocking, Veterans Day Celebration, a new Pajama Party and Breakfast Bingo event at the Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, a 50 Plus Travel Show, Breakfast with Santa, Holiday Marketplace, Winter Solstice Celebration, Noon Year's Eve, and many more. Program offerings range from arts and crafts to sports to nature activities and include leagues, classes, seminars, workshops, and trips. Included are programs for infants through senior adults.
The September through December issue continues a new approach which began in the May through August edition. JCPRD now views its recently revamped website at www.JCPRD.com as its major marketing tool and the primary source of information about programs, facilities, and all things JCPRD. The printed catalog now features concise program information and directs readers to the website, where they'll find more detailed descriptions for most programs.
The My JCPRD Activities is mailed out to approximately 28,000 past participants who have taken part in a district program within the last year. Catalogs are also be available at Johnson County Library branches, community centers, various businesses, and at district locations.
