TimberRidge Challenge Course Programs
Challenge Course Programs
During a challenge course session, teams will have the opportunity to participate in several different challenges that will test the group both physically and mentally. Bring your creativity and imagination with you to help solve the team challenges. TimberRidge offers both a low course (ground to 12 feet) and high course (ground to 50 feet) program. Groups can choose from a ½ day (low only program) or a full day (low or high course) program depending on their needs. A TimberRidge Health and Liability form must be filled out for anyone going on the course, participants and observers. These will be in your contract if you book a challenge course reservation.
The challenge course is located atop the rugged southern ridge of the property and consists of a dynamic series of elements, each with its own team building or problem solving objective. Activities can be customized to meet specific personal growth and team building needs. Experiences on our course leave a lasting and meaningful impression.
We follow the ANSI/ACCT Challenge Course and Canopy/Zip line Tour Standards published by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). Our course is run by a certified challenge course manager and is one of the few courses in the area with both Level I and Level II certified facilitators.
Our challenge course follows the philosophy of “Your Challenge, Your Choice” to incorporate elements of fun and excitement in a noncompetitive, safe, and supportive atmosphere. Individuals may choose their level of participation for each event.
Objectives for Our Challenge Course Program
- Build team trust
- Improve communication skills
- Enhance self-confidence
- Expand leadership skills
- Enjoy the great outdoors

The day will begin at ground level and progress up to a maximum of 50 feet in the air. Elements from above 12 feet will require participants to use helmets, harnesses, and a belay rope system. A high challenge course program may be booked for a full day only. Our program is an educationally based program built around team success and reflection.
Corporate Team Building Opportunities
TimberRidge offers an outdoor educational experience that will improve and strengthen your team. A variety of programming is available and will be tailored specifically for your team’s needs. After booking an event with us, you will receive a group needs assessment to fill out with information on your group, goals and needs for the event. Facilitators use the information you provide to create a program for your group. Call or email for pricing.
Meeting space at the Welcome Center (hyperlink to rentals page) can be rented before or after a program for those needing additional retreat time.

We offer school field trips for grades 5th thru 12th grade. Our low challenge course can accommodate group up to 120 students per day. Schools with larger groups may book multiple days to accommodate their size. Our program is an educationally based program built around team success and reflection. We believe in the value of discovery the group has throughout the process of solving challenges together, not just the end result.
