UPDATED CLOSURE NOTICE 3/24/20
Due to recent mandates, including school closures, JCPRD will not provide OST and Early Childhood programming until further notice. Refunds have been issued for those enrolled the week of 3/16-3/20 (Spring Break), and automatic payments for these programs have ceased. As we consider Summer Camps, JCPRD will abide by all State and Federal guidelines and recommendations as we move forward through this health crisis. We are preparing for camps to open on time. We also recognize that this is a fluid situation with information changing rapidly. Any changes or updates will be posted here as soon as they are available. And finally, we would ask that as a community we work together to help one another. This is a time of unprecedented uncertainty, and our best source of comfort and survival is each other. Thanks again for being part of our JCPRD family. We feel very fortunate to be part of this community!

Meadowbrook Park Natureplay
9101 Nall Avenue, Prairie Village
Our Natureplay Preschools feature discovery based learning with nature at the foundation of the curriculum. Our goal is to help young children develop a strong connection with the natural world at an early age.
The nearby streamways, parks and our outdoor classrooms will provide the children with extended periods of outdoor exploration. While indoors, child initiated learning will increase awareness and appreciation of the natural world.
Unique Nature-based Program
These nature immersion preschools are unique to the greater Kansas City area and we are eager to advance early childhood environmental literacy through the introduction of these program. Natureplay is open year round and licensed for 24 children ages 3 to 5 years.
Fully licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment our programs maintain a 1 to 12 staff to child ratio. Our site program directors possess bachelors degrees from accredited colleges and universities. Staff training and education allows for a wide variety of interesting, hands-on, age appropriate activities that integrate science, math, literacy, and the arts through nature exploration while encouraging cooperative learning and social competence.
