Youth Maker Programs
Maker educational opportunities allow program participants to learn new skills while exploring design & tools. Through 2D and 3D design, combining traditional methods of creating with cutting edge technologies, and using familiar materials in unfamiliar ways participants develop technical knowledge while bringing their creative ideas to fruition.
Make an Automata (Ages 8-15)
New! Make your own mechanized scene where your main character can move or jump about as you
control them via hand crank. Participants will learn a bit about mechanics, tools and
engineering as they build their automata from scratch.
3D Printing 101 (Ages 12-17)
Learn the basics of 3D Printing, including printer anatomy, function, 3D design and troubleshooting.
Students will need to bring their own laptop computer to this class capable of running a browser based program, no programs will need to be downloaded. Contact Fine Arts Coordinator, Ryan Bell with questions.
LED Lights Lab (Ages 8-15)
