Johnson County Park and Recreation District seeks a positive, energetic professional to join our Aquatics Team. The team is looking for a lifeguard to ensure the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Observe and enforce all rules and regulations of the facility.
Educate and inform patrons of the rules and regulations of the facility.
Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; respond quickly to all emergencies.
Communicate with the lifeguard team and facility staff.
Develop strong interpersonal skills.
Attend monthly in-service training sessions.
Complete all appropriate daily paperwork and trainings during shift.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Maintain good physical condition.
Minimum 15 years old
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (If not currently certified, compensated for attending Lifeguard Certification Course through JCPRD)
Pass lifeguard pre-employment practical in-water skills test
Criminal background check and drug test are required
Free & Paid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification provided
