The exhibit was on view from October 25, 2017 to August 4, 2018.
In celebration of the Museum's 50th Anniversary, Let's Celebrate! highlighted objects collected over our 50-year history. Selections were made by the museum's curator based on the traditional and modern anniversary gift lists. Many of the objects have never been exhibited before, and represented a fun twist on what would be considered a "gift!" From a 1967 Amana microwave from the 4th anniversary modern gift list to a 1920s leather prosthetic arm representing the traditional 3rd anniversary gift list, the exhibit was full of interesting stories about Johnson County's local history. A timeline celebrating the major milestones in the museum's institutional history was also included in the exhibit.
