Mill Creek Activity Center

Petite Picassos (Ages 3-6)

Teaching Artist: Allison Bowman

On the final Tuesday of every* month (September-May), join a teaching artist in the art studio as you read a book, look at art work and create a thematic work of art!  Parents are welcome and encouraged to join this class. *This program does not run in summer months (June, July, August). Cost is $5 per child.

Learn the many talents of Michelangelo and other High Renaissance artists as you sculpt, paint, and design. You will learn realism, perspective, and…wait…what in the world does chiaroscuro mean anyway?

Baby Finger Painting

Mini Michelangelos Camp (Ages 4-7) May 18th-May 22nd

Learn the many talents of Michelangelo and other High Renaissance artists as you sculpt, paint, and design. You will learn realism, perspective, and…wait…what in the world does chiaroscuro mean anyway?   


ARTventure Camps (Ages 6-12) Spend your summer getting creative! Work with teaching artists to develop your artistic eye through an adventurous lens combined with interactive experiences, games, and many more ARTventures! ARTventure Camps go swimming on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Roeland Park Aquatic Center and attend a field trip or special activity on Thursdays. A weekly art show for friends and family takes place every Friday. 

Camp care is available from 8:00am-5:30pm each day. Cost is $175 residents, $192 non-residents.  A 20% discount is available if you register for the full summer, email to inquire.

Explore the world of being Eco-friendly through art! Anything can be used to make artwork whether it be recycled materials, found objects, or nature.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Explore those five elements and how they sometimes work together in this week long camp!

Explore different worlds and realms of fairy tales, fables, and folk lore. You will get to create fantastical artwork throughout the week!

Challenge your imagination during this week of ARTventures! If you can think it, you can do it! Learn how to take ideas from brain-storming and turn them into works of art.
