Moldable clay provides an opportunity for problem-solving and creative thinking within a tranquil and reassuring environment. You will have the opportunity to learn how to properly adhere separate clay pieces through score and slip, how to use various clay tools, and how to apply glaze to a finished design culminating in beautiful works of art ready to display!

Learn the basics of the sewing machine and applique design while creating a dynamic wearable piece that challenges your design skills, layering various types of fabric and how color & pattern work together in one composition. Students will construct their own pre-designed 10-inch wide applique patch to stitch on the front of a tote bag. Printable patterns for the applique, fabrics, patches, and embellishments will be provided to the students to update their tote to their heart’s content. Patches, pre-cut applique design, additional fabrics, studs, rhinestones, thread, heat transfer, etc. will be available in class for use. BYOBag!

Take something old and make it new by upcycling your favorite clothing or picking something new to you, to make a new garment. Through hand stitching and using the sewing machine, challenge your designer skills and create your new favorite look. Update buttons, change out sleeves, change pant length, turn a dress into a skirt and more. WM will walk each student through their individual project, be sure to bring a few old clothing options to work with, there will be additional scrap fabric during class 

*Students should know how to thread a machine and basic use

Tuesday Nights, 5:30pm-8:30pm

Whether your passion is the pottery wheel, oil paints, or charcoal, this weekly meet-up offers a relaxing, safe, encouraging environment for you to create in the medium of your choice at your leisure. Studio time for you, by you.

This is a drop-in program for $10 per person. No pre-registration required.
