Teaching Artist: Sarah Veak

Engage your child’s curiosity and imagination while learning introductory ceramics concepts. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join this class. Cost is $39 Residents/$43 Non-Residents.

Create a work of art inspired by classic literature! Perfect for ages 4-8, but all are welcome! Class meets on special pop-up dates with a new book each event! Pre-registration encouraged, drop-ins welcome. Parents are welcome to stay or go. 

Open Art Studio (All Ages) *Cancelled March 21st & 28th and April 3rd*

Let’s get creative! JoTwo boys using mirrors to draw self-portraitsin us as we explore new and exciting materials each week through a TAB Environment (Teaching for Artistic Behavior). This is a drop-in program; no pre-registration required. Cost is $5 per person including child and adult with all materials provided. Check-in at the front desk and bring receipt with you to Open Art Studio. If participant is under 13, a parent or guardian must be present at all times. Artists of all ages have the opportunity to explore specific materials set out by a Teaching Artist.

If you have a large group planning to attend, a quick email would be greatly appreciated! Field trips are welcome to attend!

On the final Tuesday of every month, join a teaching artist in the art studio as you read a book, look at art work and create a thematic work of art!  Parents are welcome and encouraged to join this class. Pre-registration is appreciated, but if you want to join at the last second, you can register on-site at our front desk!

STEAM Sculptural Saturdays (Ages 3-6)

On the second Saturday of each month, explore three-dimensional art through STEAM*.  Adult and child work together to create a one-of-a-kind sculpture with balance, unity, and movement! Different materials are explored each month. Parents are encouraged to join this class. Cost is $5 per child. Pre-registration is appreciated, but if you want to join at the last second, you can register on-site at our front desk! *This program includes STEAM topics incorporated into the art exploration, however, we do not work directly with contemporary technology at this time.
