JCPRD's Summertime Arts and Crafts Show
The Summertime Fine Arts & Craft show is a program of the
Johnson County Park and Recreation District. This annual event
is held in conjunction with the City of Merriam’s Turkey
Creek Festival. The Fine Arts & Craft show is one highlight
of a fun filled day that attracts people from all over the Kansas
City metropolitan area. Other festival events include a 5K run,
pancake breakfast, children’s activities, food vendors,
and live music.
Fine Art & Craft Vendors Welcome
Vendors of fine art and handmade craft items are invited to
join our show. All items must be created directly by the vendor.
We do not allow commercial products, resale items or
flea market articles. Applications for entry are screened
based on the type of artwork and the quality of the products.
If commercial products are observed in your booth at the show,
you will be asked to remove them from the booth or leave the
show with no refund of vendor space fee.
Entry Fees
The fee for each vendor space is $65. The deadline (by postmark
or email date stamp) for early registration is May 4th. After
May 4th, all entries must include and will be charged an additional
$10 late fee. No registrations will be accepted or refunds given
after May 11th or at the discretion of the Fine Arts Coordinator.
There is a $20 service charge on all returned checks.
Display Areas
Each vendor area measures approximately 12’ X 12’
and set up is on the lawn of the park. Vendors are responsible
for providing their own tables, tents, chairs, etc. Electricity
is not available. This is an outdoor event – vendors
should be prepared for possible inclement weather.
Information packets containing vendor space assignments, maps,
set up instructions, etc. will be e-mailed the week of May 7th.
If you wish instructions and/or return of photographs by postal
mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with
your application and pictures.
