Race Day Is In...
Heritage Park Duathlon Course Information
The BikeSource Duathlon consists of a 2 mile run, followed by
an 11.5 mile bike, and a 3 mile run. The run portions are conducted
inside Heritage
Park. The cycling portion and the 3 mile run are the same
as the triathlon. See maps below for course details.
BikeSource Triathlon Description
The BikeSource Triathlon consists of a .33 mile (587 yds.) swim,
followed by an 11.5 mile bike, and a 3 mile run on a relatively
flat course. The swim and run portions are conducted inside Heritage
Park. The cycling portion is a partially hilly, three (3) loop
course, held both within and outside the park boundaries. NOTE:
Bike course subject to change due to street and/or housing construction.
Triathlon teams will be comprised of two (2) or three (3) individuals
executing the three legs of the race in relay fashion.
BikeSource Triathlon Eligibility
Open to all individuals, age 15 and older on the day of the event.
Competitors ages 15-17 must have parental/guardian consent. Parent
or guardian must sign registration form to be accepted.
BikeSource Triathlon Early Registration (500 Maximum)
Early registration is encouraged. Event limited to 500 entries!
Registration open until filled. NO REFUNDS.
BikeSource Triathlon Race/Entry Guideline
1.
An entrant may not transfer his/her
entry to another individual. Substitutes will not be allowed
to participate. Entrants may transfer from one event to
another for a small transfer fee.
2.
Participants will be provided with a swim
cap which must be worn during the Swim segment.
3.
Wet suits will not be allowed if the water
temperature is above 78 degrees.
4.
A helmet with an approved ASTM, CPSC, or
SNELL safety seal is required and must be worn during the
bike segment.
5.
Headphones will not be allowed.
6.
All first-time duathletes & triathletes
must attend the pre-race meeting.
Pre-race meeting: 4:00 pm on Sat., May 12th at the Heritage
Park Marina
7.
All entrants must be checked-in and be
body marked.
BikeSource Triathlon Awards & Results: Individual awards will be presented to the top three
male and female overall finishers in both the duathlon & triathlon.
Male & female age groups are: 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34;35-39;
up to 90+.
Age group and team awards given as follows: 1-5 entries per division,
1 award; 6-10 entries, 2 awards; 11-15, 3 awards; 16-20, 4 awards;
21+ entries, 5 awards. Results will be posted at the award ceremony
and online on race day.

Confirmation notice and additional information will be emailed
or mailed a week before race day to all entrants that have registered.

Non-USAT members must also pay a one-day
user fee of $12 when registering.
NOTE: Limited late packet pick-up: Sunday, May 12, 6-7am,
under tent at the Heritage Park Marina. Please make every effort
to pick-up your packet by 5pm, Saturday, May 13, unless you are
an out-of-town participant.

Parking at Heritage Park
Be parked by 6:40am, at the latest. Parking at the Heritage Park
Sports/Football Complex, 16240 Pflumm Road. The HP Marina (check-in
site) is approximately a 10 minute walk from the parking lot.

Early Registration Bonus Drawing
Register before 5pm on April 27, 2012 for the BikeSource Du/Tri

under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent (see
registration form). Requests for reasonable accommodations will
be made for special needs participants.
