Interested in portraying a character or being part of the crew? If so, please contact The Theatre at info@jcprd.com or (913) 236-1237. The Theatre in the Park was started through the efforts of volunteers and continues today. All of the performers on our stage, in the orchestra pit, as well as most of the people behind the scenes are volunteers. Each year, more than 1,500 volunteers contribute over 50,000 hours of their time to our program. Individuals as well as volunteer groups from area churches, service organizations, and businesses have fun on summer nights helping out in various ways. Seasonal Employment Opportunities The Theatre in the Park also offers a wide variety of seasonal employment opportunities. Creative talents are used for set design, sound, lighting, costumes and props. Each summer, dozens of teens enjoy their first job working at the Theatre box office, in food services, or parking cars.
