The Sunflower Nature Park is a 60-acre park featuring an accessible nature trail, picnic shelter and fishing pond. The game fields located on the west side of the park are operated by the City of De Soto.



Park Police and Park Safety
If difficulties arise contact the JCPRD Park Police through at 913-782-0720 and please have your copy of the shelter reservation with you.

AMENITIES
  • 1 shelter with 6 tables, seating for 48 people
  • No electricity
  • Restroom near main entrance
  • No drinking fountain
  • 2 grills
  • No playground
  • Nature trail is one mile in length
  • Guided nature walks for groups of 5 or more can be arranged by calling the
         Ernie Miller Nature Center at (913) 764-7759. ½ mile of trail is wheelchair      accessible.
