| Children Services Outdoor Summer Camps - Ages
5* - 14 years old Welcome to Summer Escapades and Xroads Outdoor Summer Camps 2012! Johnson County Park and Recreation District hosts a variety of summer camps that are available throughout the County at parks, schools and in community recreation facilities. All camps are fully licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and are staffed by qualified, energetic and caring directors and counselors. Campers will experience daily opportunities to learn new skills, improve personal fitness and socialize with friends. *Note: 5 year olds must have completed Kindergarten and be able to provide verification. Enrollment is Limited Early registration is encouraged. Full payment is due upon registration. Financial Assistance Available Financial assistance is available on a limited basis to qualifying families. For grant application materials call (913) 236-1219. Just For Fun: Summer Escapades (Ages 5*-12) *5 year olds must have proof of Kindergarten completion Keep your kids active with Summer Escapades! Activities include one field trip per week, three pool trips per week, games, sports, arts and crafts, nature, hard core play and more! Fees also include two T-shirts. Participants must wear camp shirt daily. Additional shirts may be purchased for $5.00 plus applicable sales tax. Camp hours are 7 am to 5:30 pm with scheduled activities between 9 am and 4 pm. 10 - 1 Week Camps: First child $100/wk ($110/wk nonresidents) Two or more children (same family/week) - second child $90/wk ($100/wk nonresidents)
Just For Fun: Xroads (Ages 11-14) Keep your kids active with Xroads Summer Camp! Activities include two field trips per week, three pool trips per week, games, sports, arts and crafts, nature, community service and more! Fees also include two T-shirts. Participants must wear camp shirt daily. Additional shirts may be purchased for $5.00 plus applicable sales tax. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS Parent Orientation: Wednesday, May 23, 7 PM Orientation will be held at camp location where child is enrolled. Camp Policies JCPRD Summer Camp Policy Statement [175KB] Transfers All transfer requests must be submitted in writing a minimum of two weeks prior to the week of camp either by email to info@jcprd.com or by fax to (913) 831-3311 and are subject to a $5 processing fee. ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Camps are not prorated for holidays, sick days, early pick-ups, late drop offs or suspensions. Lunches/Snacks Participants must bring a lunch in a non-disposable lunch bag and a bottle of water daily to camp. There will be a morning and afternoon snack provided by the camp. Age Requirements In accordance with JCPRD children services policy, all age requirements for camps will be enforced with the following exception: a child may be placed in a camp if he/she has a birthday that falls during that week. Health/Personal/Medical Care Forms Parent/Guardians must complete and return the following forms for each camper 2 weeks prior to attending camp or they will be unable to participate.
