How to Read a Class Listing?
- Day Trips
All day trips depart from Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch Road. A confirmation letter stating departure and return times will be sent to you after you register. Day trips include: Motor coach or 13 passenger van, guided tours, admissions and/or show tickets, gratuities and services of a 50 Plus escort. Cancellations: If you request a refund or a transfer less than one week prior to the day trip, a $5 processing fee will be assessed. Any non-refundable payments (i.e. tickets to a show, meals, admissions etc.) are deducted from day trip refunds.

The following symbols denote the level of exertion and walking surfaces for each of our outdoor programs:
E = Easy M = Moderate
All outings depart from Antioch Park. Cancellations for refunds (except in emergencies) must be received by the Friday before the scheduled hike. Inclement weather date is the following week.
.About Our Gymnastics Classes
Our programs are designed to provide your child with the essential foundation for all physical movement. Skilled and experienced instructors understand the importance of physical development in children, such as flexibility, strength, coordination, agility, and endurance. Starting with basic elements, students are taught, through proper progression, ever increasingly higher levels of skill. Staff will advise and make every attempt to see that your child is in the class most suited to his/her individual ability. Parents are welcome to observe class. Suitable clothing: sweat pants, T-shirt, leotard, or gym shorts (void of any buckles, buttons, snaps or zippers). Socks are optional.
Current attendance in classes does not guarantee space in upcoming session. You must re-enroll.

Discount on Gymnastics Classes
Students who register for more than one class a week are eligible for a twenty percent discount on the second class. Families with two or more children enrolled in a class are eligible to receive a ten percent discount on the second child and a twenty percent discount on any additional children. Those requesting these discounts must register through our Registration Office. Please call (913) 831-3359 for details. These discounts apply only to gymnastics classes.
.Parent & Child Aquatics: Level 1 & 2 (Ages 6 Mo - 3 Yrs)
Purpose:
Level 1
- Provides experiences and activities for children to-
• Learn to ask for permission before entering the water
• Learn how to enter and exit the water in a safe manner
• Feel comfortable in the water
• Explore submerging to the mouth, nose, eyes and completely
• Explore buoyancy on the front and back position
• Change body position in the water
• Learn how to play safely
• Experience wearing a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket
Purpose:
Level 2
- Builds upon the skills learned in Level 1 and provides experiences and activities for children to-
• Establish expectation for adult supervision
• Learn more ways to enter and exit the water in a safe manner
• Explore submerging in a rhythmic pattern
• Glide on the front and back with assistance
• Perform combined stroke on front and back with assistance

.Water Exercise - Punch Card Program (Ages 50 Plus)
Water exercise classes listed below are punch card only. RPAC cards allow you the flexibility to choose and try any aqua classes at RPAC. The satellite card allows you access to all aqua classes, regardless of location. Five and ten punch cards expire three months from date of purchase; twenty punch cards expire four months from date of purchase. Classes are subject to time change or cancellation. Classes are 50 minutes in length and on-going with no specific start date unless otherwise stated in class description. Punch cards sold at Prairie Life Fitness are a separate program and have different prices. Call (913) 826-3160 for more information or to purchase a punch card.

Adventure Treks: Chews to Cruise
Join us! Take a leisurely cruise along the trail and then enjoy chew and chat lunch. These trails will only be one to two miles in length and then we will be having lunch at a nearby restaurant. After Shawnee Mission Park, lunch at Zarda Bar-be-que and after the Olathe Lake cruise we will lunch at Mr. Gyros. Lunch costs are on your own. Depart from Antioch Park.

Animals: Holidays for the Animals (All Ages) Ongoing Program, Ernie Miller Nature Center
The holidays are a time of gifts and generosity. Whether you’re an individual, family, or a group looking to make a difference, how about contributing a gift to the animals at the Ernie Miller Nature Center? The Nature Center has ongoing needs for supplies for both the animals we keep at the center and the wild animals that come to our feeders. Please look over the following list and consider making a contribution: various sizes of clear critter totes/ pet keepers boxes with lids; bags of reptile bedding; pine shavings; gift certificates to Y Bar H, Price Chopper & Petco, pinewood shavings, Mazuri ferret Diet, cat litter (non-clumping), LabDiet 5001 rodent food; ferret snacks/accessories; bleach, laundry soap; bags of white millet, thistle, safflower or black oil sunflower seeds (no mixes, please); suet cake and dried seed corn on the cob.

Aquatics: High School Swim Training
Get a jump on the high school swim season or keep your speed and skills during the off-season. Sponsored by the District, this workout is designed for the high school swimmer and run by an experienced deck coach. Swimmers will train alongside our masters training group. Aquatics: KC Blazers Masters Swimming Punch Card
The Blazers Masters Swimming offers flexibility for participants with the use of a punch card system for fifteen 90 min. swims or minimul drop-in fee. Purchase card from the coach before or after practice. Punch card may be used for any Blazer Masters practice at any location. Participants range from former Olympians, Triathletes, Corporate Challenge Participants, and fitness swimmers who want something more organized and challenging than lap swimming. Instruction in a competitive atmosphere is an advantage over swimming laps on your own. There are seven practice times offered throughout the week. A week’s worth of wonder! Your creativity will be pushed to the limit during this Spring Break arts camp. Enjoy daily projects in different mediums including painting in various styles, paper mache a new way, reclaimed creations, and a food art challenge. To broaden your artistic horizons, hop in the van for three field trips to Kansas City museums to check out what artists are creating in the real world. Our inventive brains will need to recharge, so playing games and swimming in the Roeland Park indoor pool will be in order as well. On Friday, family and friends are invited to view your masterpieces at our Growing Artist Gallery. Please bring a sack lunch and water bottle daily. There is the option of before and after child care - 8:30 am - 9:00 am and 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm.
